Course Management: Using the Media Library

Overview

The Media Library provides a centralized location where instructors can upload, organize, and manage reusable course materials. The Media Library supports the following files: audio, video, images, documents, and SCORM packages.

Note: Lecture Capture videos cannot be stored in the Media Library.

Instructions

Click the Gear icon then select Media Library.

The Media Library provides the following options:

  1. Add Assets: to upload supported files or capture audio-video content directly.

  2. Create Folder: to organize your Media Library content.

  3. Sort: sort content alphabetically or by edit date.

  4. Filter: show assets by Type, Date Created, or Date Edited.

  5. Search: use to find content in the Media Library.

  6. Recycle Bin: to see files that have been deleted, check for how long deleted file will be stored before permanent deletion or to restore selected files. Note: Items in the recycling bin are permanently deleted after 90 days.

  7. ... (Actions Menu): available actions are based on the asset type selected.

    1. Files: Preview, Download, Manage Versions, Duplicate, Move To, Rename, Edit Description, Delete

    2. Folders: Edit, Duplicate, Move To, Delete

  8. Select All: will select all of the assets in your Media Library
