Overview
The Quiz Printer is a widget that you can utilize on Course Offering homepages to assist instructors in creating printer-friendly versions of your existing quizzes in Brightspace. This widget works with the Quiz tool in Brightspace and is not intended to be a replacement for it.
Instructions
- Navigate to the course in Brightspace.
- The Quiz Printer widget is located on the Course Home Page. It is only viewable by instructors.
- Select the quiz from the drop-down menu. By default, the "Question Labels" option is selected.
- Answer Key: This option will display the answers for each question.
- Question Labels: The Question Labels option is checked by default. To assist with question clarity, a subheading was designed into this widget to display the question type for each question. While multiple choice questions are a commonly understood question type.
- Quiz Details: This option displays the Quiz Description and enforced Timing Options below the title of the quiz.
- Click the Generate Printable Quiz button. A new browser tab will appear, allowing you to print directly from the browser. Alternatively, you can copy and paste the content into a Word document if you want to make further changes, such as adjusting the font size.
Limitations
- Unsupported Question Types
- Matching
- Ordering
- Arithmetic
- Significant Figures
- Questions Sections
- Questions contained in sections are displayed. Section titles, descriptions, and section level shuffling are not supported.
- Question Pools
- Questions contained in question pools are not displayed.
- Rubrics
- Rubrics attached to Written Response questions are not displayed when the Answer Key option is selected.
