Course Copy - copy select content to another course

Overview

Course materials created in one course can easily be copied to another course. Using this method will copy select course components to a different course.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the course that needs content added.

  2. From the Course Tools menu, select Course Admin.

  3. In the Site Resources section, click on Import / Export / Copy Components.

  4. Under "What would you like to do?", select the Copy Components from another Org Unit option.

  5. Beneath Course to Copy: click on the Search for offering button.

    1. On the Select Course Offering page, in the Search box, enter the course that contains the desired content. Click the Search button.

    2. Select the course; click the Add Selected button.

  6. Confirm this course is listed in the Copy Components from another Org Unit area.

  7. Click on the Select Components button.

  8. On the Choose Components to Copy page, select the desired items. Note, always keep the Include associated files option selected.

    1. One option is to select all the components then de-select Announcements. 

      1. Click the Continue button.

      2. Click the Finish button.

    2. To copy only select Content, Assignments, Discussions, Quizzes...

      1. Click the item(s) type.

      3. If necessary, click the Expand All link then select the desired content. Then click the Continue button.

      4. Click the Finish button.
