As part of our enrollment in the Microsoft Campus Agreement, all SUNY Oswego registered students, faculty and staff are eligible to get Microsoft 365 for FREE.
This article answers frequently asked questions regarding Microsoft 365.
Access Microsoft 365
What is Microsoft 365?

Microsoft 365 is a cloud-based productivity platform that includes apps like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Forms and so much more.
What's Included?

You can use any of the included applications through a web browser.

Installation of apps on up to 5 personal, compatible PCs, Macs, Android or iOS.

1TB of online storage through Microsoft OneDrive for each user. Create new files through OneDrive on your Microsoft account or select “Create” from your home page. Files can be shared with other users that have accounts in 365.
How Can I Install the Apps Locally?

From the home page select “Install apps”
- Select to download all Microsoft 365 apps

Follow the instructions prompted when the installation file is downloaded including:
- Select "Open file" after the Microsoft installer downloads
- Select "Yes" to install on your device

Open any Microsoft 365 app and you should see your account is synced to automatically sign you in
What Happens When I Graduate or Separate from SUNY Oswego?
You will have 30 days after you have graduated or separated from SUNY Oswego until your Microsoft 365 subscription will end. You may save your data by transferring to a local drive during this time. You may enroll in other available consumer or commercial offers by using your personal email address (non @oswego.edu address).
