How to Register your Device to Connect to the Oswego-Gaming-RES Wi-Fi or Wired Network

Overview

These instructions are for Oswego faculty, staff, and students who live in residential buildings and need to register their devices for use on the Oswego-Gaming-RES Wi-Fi network and wired residential network. 

Instructions

1. In a web browser, head to SUNY Oswego My Devices on a device that’s already connected to the network. If you’re not yet connected to the network on a phone or tablet, you’ll first want to use the above instructions for connecting on an Android or iOS device.

2. Enter your Laker NetID and Password, review and agree to the terms and conditions, and then tap login.

3. Once you log in, you’ll want to find the Add button and tap it.

4. You’ll then be taken to the Add Device screen, where you’ll want to give your device a name and enter its Wireless MAC address into the Device ID field and then press SubmitYou can follow these instructions if you need help finding the MAC address of your device.

5. Once you’ve added your device, you may need to press Refresh to see your device in the devices list.

Note: It also might take up to 1 hour for your device to register on the network, especially during high traffic times like move-in day.
