Overview
Brightspace allows announcements to be visible to a specific group of students. This ability may be useful in merged or cross-listed courses.
Instructions
- Log-in to Brightspace then select the desired course.
- On the course homepage, click/select the New Announcement link located in the Slim Announcements Widget.

- Complete Headline and Content areas.
- Complete Availability settings, if desired.
- Insert Attachments, if desired.
- In Additional Release Conditions area, click/select the Create and Attach button.

- In the Create a New Release Condition,
- Condition Type area, use the Select Condition Type menu to scroll to Roster then select either
- Group Enrollment - for group communication
- Section Enrollment - for one section in merged courses.

- Condition Details area, select the desired group or section.

- Click/select the Create button.

- Click/select the Publish button.
