How to securely print using OswegoPrint for PCs (for employees)

Overview

This article describes how to securely print and release a document using OswegoPrint.

Instructions

  1. On your computer, use the application's print function to bring up the print options.

  2. When selecting a printer to print to, you'll need to select "Pharos Secure Printer" which may not be listed in the list of printers. If you do not see it listed, choose the option that allows you to see more printers.  For example, when printing from Google Chrome, you would select "See more..."

Window that shows the list of printers available to print to. "See more.." is highlighted in blue to designate that option.

Then choose "Pharos Secure Printer" from the list of printers available to you.

The window shows a few different printers that can be chosen. The Pharos Secure Printer is highlighted in blue.

  3. Once "Pharos Secure Printer" is selected, choose your application's "Print" button.
  4. You will see a couple notifications on your PC in the lower right saying that the document is being uploaded and then eventually ready to be released at a printer.

A black window with white text that says the document that you printed is ready to be released at a printer.

  5. You can now walk to an OswegoPrint printer to release the document. Please see "How to release a document at a printer using OswegoPrint for employees" for instructions on how to release the document at the printer.
