Any banner Page returns the following error below:

Error Message Stating Session Initialization Failed

Issue

  1. You Are Using A Chromium-based browser and there is an issue with your cache and cookies.
  2. You are using a Mac and using Safari as the browser.
  3. You are using Firefox with Cross-Site Tracking Disabled.

Troubleshooting

  1.  To correct this issue in Chrome perform the following steps:

    • Browser settings, under preferences/privacy, uncheck "prevent cross-site tracking"
  3. To correct this issue in Firefox perform the following steps:
    • Open The Firefox Settings Menu.

  • Add the following URL as an exception to Enhanced Tracking Protection: https://banner-admn-prod.oswego.edu:8443

  • Save your changes by clicking "Save Changes".
