How To Use Proxy Access Management as a Proxy

Overview

This article outlines instructions on how a proxy can use the Proxy Access feature to get information from a student's profile.

Instructions

When a student initiates the process to authorize proxy access, the proxy will receive email communications with pertinent instructions and updates.  The first email will contain a unique web link and action password that must be used to create a PIN for future logins. This must be done within 10 days of being sent or the link will expire. If it expires, the student can re-send the email with a new link.

1. Click on the Banner link received in the email.

2. Use the action password received in the email in the "Action Password" field of the page in Banner. Then, click on "Submit".

4. Fill out all the required fields related to the proxy's personal information and then click on "Save". Missing out on filling in the required information may affect the proxy's ability to see the student's information.

5. Navigate to the tab with the student's name to view information related to the student. Clicking on the sections underneath the tab should lead to the student's information unless the student has not been given access to the specific parts for the proxy to view.
