How to use LakerPrint with the Pharos Mobile App

Overview

  • To use LakerPrint with iOS devices, you will need to install the "Pharos Print" app available in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • Once logged into the app, you can upload documents to the LakerPrint cloud from your mobile device.

Instructions

To submit documents to the LakerPrint Cloud with mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, and Android devices:

  1. Install the "Pharos Print" app from the App store or Google Play.

  2. Once installed, launch the Pharos Print app on your device. It will ask for a server address and port number. Enter lakerprint.oswego.edu for the server address and 443 for the port number. Then click "Connect."  Note this is a one-time step.

  4. You can use the "Upload" button to upload files locally stored on your device. Note that not all file formats may be supported.

  5. If you use apps to access files stored in the cloud (not on your device), you can try using the app itself to print to the LakerPrint Cloud. The Google suite of apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) will allow you to do this. On iOS devices, follow these instructions:
    1. Open the document using the appropriate app. For this example, we have opened a Google Doc using the "Docs" app. Select the three dots in the upper right corner of the document to open a menu.  Select "Share & Export."
