CLAs: Print Quota

Summary

This article defines the printing quotas of students.

Body

Overview

Every user with an account has a print quota. All users start the semester with 400 pages in their print quota. Every time a user prints something out from a computer in a computer lab (CTS & Res Life labs), the cost of that printout is deducted from their account. Each printout includes a cover page for which users are not charged, which states how much print quota a user gets.

Troubleshooting

How do I check someone's print quota?

Go to www.oswego.edu/admin. Have the user log in and select the check print quota link on the left.

What if someone runs out of print quota?

  • To purchase more Print Dollars with your credit card {Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover} please go to:

  • Please allow two business days for processing.  To process your purchase faster, you can make a cash or check purchase in the Telecommunications Office located at 102 Culkin Hall.  Please note, credit card purchases are no longer accepted in person in the Telecommunications Office, only through Cashnet.

  • Telecommunication's office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.

Does unused print quota get rolled over to the next semester?
Any unused print quota remaining from the original 400 pages allocation does NOT get rolled over between any semester.

When do print quotas get reassigned?
All students get a fresh 400 pages balance at the start of each fall, winter, spring, and summer session. Unused purchased print dollars from the fall will get added to the balance for the next semester.
