Quizzes: Setting quiz evaluation and feedback

Instructors can set up a Brightspace quiz with multiple feedback views. This capability enables them to control the release of information, such as letting students see their grade immediately after submitting and then providing access to more detailed feedback once the quiz is closed.

Instructors can set up a Brightspace quiz with multiple feedback views. This capability enables them to control the release of information, such as letting students see their grade immediately after submitting and then providing access to more detailed feedback once the quiz is closed.

Instructions

1. Log in to Brightspace and access the desired course.

2. On the Course Navigation menu, click Course Tools > Quizzes.
   

3. Located the appropriate quiz. From the quiz action menu, click Edit.
   

4. Expand the Evaluation & Feedback area, click Customize Quiz Results Displays.
   

5. In the Customize Quiz Results Displays window, click + Additional View.
   

6. Beneath the Primary Display:

   1. Set the Display Date

      • Selecting "A limited amount of time (in minutes) after submission" option will limit the amount of time the view will be displayed once opened by the student.
        

   2. Grade: select to display the grade. 
      

   3. Questions: select the desired option.

      • Don't show

      • All questions

      • Incorrect questions only with learner's responses

      • Correct questions only with learner's responses

   4. If desired, choose all desired question display options.
      

   5. Click Create.
      

7. Review Additional view's settings. Note: if changes are needed, click Edit View. After making changes, click Update.

8. Click OK.
   

9. In Evaluation & Feedback area, confirm that the Additional view is visible.
   

10. Click Save and Close.
