Overview
This article outlines instructions on how a student can manage Proxy Access including:
Proxy Access allows a student to provide access to specified pages of their student information in myOswego to a third party ("proxy") such as a parent, mentor, corporate sponsor, etc. Students control what information proxies can access, as well as the length of time that they have access. The process requires that the proxy have an email address.
Instructions
- Log into myOswego.
- In the search bar at the top, type "proxy" and click the "Go" button. Then, click the "Proxy Management" search result.
1. In the "Proxy Management" portal, click "Add Proxy".
2. You will then be asked for the personal details about the proxy. Fill out all the required fields with the appropriate information and click the "Add Proxy" button.
3. Once the proxy has successfully been added, you'll be able to see the list of added proxies. Click on "Expand [Proxy Name]" to manage the proxy further.
4. You will intially be in the "Profile" tab. In the "Profile" tab, fill out all the required fields marked in red and then click "E-mail Passphrase". The proxy will then get an email sent with a passphrase to initially get into the portal.
5. Now, switch over to the "Authorization" tab. Select the information you want to share with the proxy as needed. Click the "E-mail Authorizations" to send the list to your proxy. You can change Authorizations at any time that your proxy is active.
NOTE: There is no "save button." When you navigate off the tab, changes are saved automatically.
6. The "History" tab provides the full history of proxy authorization activity.
7. The "Communication" tab shows the history emails sent and also allows you to resend specific messages.
1. Navigate to the "Proxy Management" tab as outlined earlier. Then, locate the proxy in the proxy list and expand their profile.
2. In the Profile tab, you can change the Stop Date OR
3. On the Authorization tab, uncheck all pages.
