Overview
Creating an HTML file allows you to put content directly into Brightspace. This is ideal for short snippets such as a module at a glance, or cases where you want to leverage the tools built into the HTML editor to link to other content or embed materials.
Instructions
To Create a File (Web Page):
-
Go to Content on the Green bar at the top of the screen.

-
Click the Blue button labelled Upload / Create.

-
From the Options that appear, select Create a File (Web Page).

-
On the page that appears, give your File a Title.
-
Use the checkbox to determine whether users can currently see the File.

-
Use the HTML WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) interface to enter your content. To find out more about the options in the editor, you can check out the D2L support page.
-
Use the blue Save and Close button to save your work. If you make a major mistake, hitting the Cancel button will undo all changes to a File.

-
To return to Editing an existing File, locate it and use the pull down chevron to select View Topic, then use the Edit HTML (Web Page) button near the bottom.
