Body
On Thursday, Oct. 9, myOswego will be updated with a new user interface.
This update will make it easier to access the tools and information you need, whether you are on a computer or a mobile device. The new system will feature a cleaner, more intuitive layout that simplifies navigation while maintaining the same functionality that was previously available.
For a smooth transition, this new interface will become the default option on the myOswego login page, while also providing a temporary link to the old interface as a secondary option. This will allow everyone to become familiar with the changes at their own pace until the old interface shuts down at 4:00pm on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025.
Please make sure that you update any browser bookmarks to point to www.oswego.edu/myOswego to ensure they continue to function as needed. Additionally, please be prepared to update any documentation you may have, including screenshots, that references how to navigate to specific functionality in myOswego.
Interface changes for students
The old student interface navigation was based on “tabs.” Clicking on a tab resulted in a list of services related to that tab. For example, clicking on the “Student Records” tab listed services related to the student profile, declaration/change of a major/minor, and applying for graduation.

In the new interface, the tabs are replaced with “cards.” The names of the cards reflect the names of the old tabs. Each card has the same links that were listed under the old tabs. For example, the “Student Records” card lists the student profile, declaration/change of major/minor, and application for graduation. This reduces the number of clicks needed to access the specific services.

The mobile interface for students has also been updated to reflect the new “card” system. Each card’s title reflects the old tab names. Clicking on a card will open up a new window with appropriate links to services

Interface changes for faculty
Similar to the old student interface, the old faculty interface navigation was based on “tabs.” Clicking on a tab resulted in a list of services related to that tab. For example, clicking on the “Faculty Services” tab shows class list, faculty grading, and registration override services.

In the new interface, the tabs are replaced with “cards.” The names of the cards are slightly different from the "tabs" in the old interface. Because of the number of services listed within the "Faculty Services" tab, new cards have been created to group those services into specific categories. For example, in the old interface, there were a number of services related to grading. In the new interface, there is a new card called "Faculty Grading" with a list of services that pertain just to grading. This helps reduce the number of clicks needed to access services.
Note that some additional cards may show based on specific faculty roles. For example, if a faculty member is also an advisor, there would be an additional card for that.

These cards are also reflected on the mobile interface for faculty. Clicking on a card will open up a new window with appropriate links to services.
