Gradebook columns not associated with a Brightspace assessment (assignment, discussion, quiz) can be deleted directly from Grades. Note: before deleting a column confirm that it does not contain grades. Deleting a column that contains grades will result in data loss that can not be recovered.

Gradebook columns not associated with a Brightspace assessment (assignment, discussion, quiz) can be deleted directly from Grades. Note: before deleting a column confirm that it does not contain grades. Deleting a column that contains grades will result in data loss that can not be recovered.
Instructions
- Login to Brightspace then navigate to the desired course.
- From the course navigation bar, click on Course Tools and select Grades.
- Click on the Manage Grades tab.
- Click on the More Actions menu button and select Delete.
- Select the columns to be deleted. Note: a column with the ?-mark icon after its name can not be deleted using this method.
- Click the Delete button.
