Overview
The purpose of this document is to demonstrate how to edit existing Announcements in Brightspace.
Instructions
- Log into Brightspace and enter your course.
- On the course navigation bar, click on Course Tools then select the Announcements tool.
- Locate the announcement that you want to update, click on the drop-down arrow next to its title, and select the Edit option.

- If you are working in a live course, when editing an announcement, you can choose to check the box for Major Edit. This allows your announcement to be treated as new; it will be visible to those who previously dismissed this announcement and will also send a notification to your students.

- Make your changes and click on the Update button. If you used any links in a previous announcement to point to Course Content, you may need to recreate these.
