Overview
When using the Mozilla Firefox browser, Google (LakerApps) two-factor authentication is not saved. As a result, every time the browser is closed and re-opened, a user must re-sign into LakerApps, and then re-key their 2-factor auth code as provided for a new session.
Issue
Firefox browser in some Windows images have settings enabled that are preventing the 2-Factor authentication key/cookie from being saved after each session of the browser is closed.
Troubleshooting
Change settings in Mozilla Firefox privacy options to allow 2-Factor Authentication "cookie" to be stored beyond the working browser session.
To Fix:
- Within the Firefox browser menu bar, click on: TOOLS --> OPTIONS
- Click on the Privacy section on the left side.
- You'll note options set as follows. We want to change "settings" for history. Click the button shown in the screenshot:
- Once in the additional settings window, you'll need to uncheck the options for at *least* "Active Logins" and "Cookies". There's no harm in unchecking additional items in this window as well:
- Click OK to save, then exit the browser and re-test. It should then save your information and the 2-factor authentication.
